About Me

Hello to all fellow bloggers i am Denise and i have been card making for a good few year's now and i have also done a small amount of scrapbooking . I am married to Robin who likes to get involved as well by printing out the verses for my cards, we have one son called shaun and we live in Nottinghamshire, i am a stay at home wife and mum who likes going out meeting other crafting people. The first time i did any crafting i went to a small craft shop called Kim's in blyth which is a village shop near where i live. Then i got into cricut crafting i tried to master it myself, but then found out that Samauel Taylor's at leed's ran a cricut lessons by Sue Hobb so i got the basic step's from her. Then started going to Ali crafts near Lincoln and i found a lady called Fiona who really does know what she is talking about when it comes to cricut and the design studio so it is to her who i owe big thanks to for getting me to the stage i am at with my crafting.

I took a 8x8 card and stamped around the edge with a brown ink pad (walnut stain) and i also used it to tone down the background paper which was from a papermainer pack , then again i used it to stamp the owl's then out came the water brush to pull the colour out from the stamped image the owl's are stamped onto a spellbinder die,and to finished off i put a few foe gem's in the corner's x d

FOR YOU ?

Hi ladies sorry not posted for a while but i am full of cold (man flu ha ha if you know what i mean) ,getting a bit sick of it now and the cough anyone would think i smoked 60 a day the only thing is i dont smoke, well better get on and tell you about the card.

I did the card at Jo Channon's the other week,we use a Stampavie stamp's and made 4 card's ,i will post the others at a later date,.

Now for this card we used a 8x8 card cut in half and folded it to make a tent shape, the purple paper on it was done by just traceing around the card but cutting it inside the pencil line ,this then gives you a small boarder, the image is stamped onto yep you got it a good old spellbinder ( what would we do without them) and coloured in with a mixture of promarkers and copic pens, the flourish around the side is a new Marianne die (just love them dont you) and a little punched out flower with a gem in the center, around the bottom right corner are some more little gems (think you can just see them).Well thats it for today girls, oh i have given the card to my neice as it is her birthday today xx

A CHILD'S YEAR

Hello to fellow blogers this card was made from A CHILD'S YEAR cart. I love this cart because it cover's all age's.

This card is a 6x6 with a white base for the main card, then a silver mirri card which has a bark texture on it.

The two scalloped layer's i cut from BASE CAMP cart, the white one is cut at 5.1/4'' and the lilac one which has a small pattern on was cut at 4.3/4'' as you can see i have just off set them from each other, then the little girl was cut at 4'', to finish off i used a few craftwork card's candie dot's.I must just add the images in this cart look wondreful when they are cut in dark colour's such as a white base and then black on the top or even brown and cream xD

Something a bit different

Well i have had a play today with my cricut machine. It's my cousin's little girl's birthday on monday so i have made this instead of a birthday of a card. I used a cream card for the base and two different patten's both in pnk for the top layer. I cut them from schoolbook cart. Around the edge's i have used a bit of distress ink to lift the image. To finished off i cut out some butterfly's,,swirl's and a fairey which had made up..Sorry picture is'nt great found it hard to take ..

I have been playing around with die's as you can see. The frame is a cheery lynn heart frame, the wispy bit's are memory box which i have cutt into bit so they tuck under the edge of the heart frame. Noe the corner's and the mat which say's Happy Birthday all are spellbinder's.I must say a big thank you to a friend of mine for the loan of the Cheery Lynn and the Memory box die's.

     THANK'S MO

MY TAKE ON A SUE WILSON CARD

I saw this card on the tv a few weeks ago when sue wilson did one of her create and craft show's, if  you go on her blog you will see what i have done different.
Sue placed her three die shape's across the middle of her card, where you can see i have twisted mine a bit, i cut the die shape's in cream and coloured the with distress in scattered straw i think, all of the die's are spellbinder's xx
