Hello to all fellow bloggers i am Denise and i have been card making for a good few year's now and i have also done a small amount of scrapbooking .
I am married to Robin who likes to get involved as well by printing out the verses for my cards, we have one son called shaun and we live in Nottinghamshire, i am a stay at home wife and mum who likes going out meeting other crafting people.
The first time i did any crafting i went to a small craft shop called Kim's in blyth which is a village shop near where i live.
Then i got into cricut crafting i tried to master it myself, but then found out that Samauel Taylor's at leed's ran a cricut lessons by Sue Hobb so i got the basic step's from her.
Then started going to Ali crafts near Lincoln and i found a lady called Fiona who really does know what she is talking about when it comes to cricut and the design studio so it is to her who i owe big thanks to for getting me to the stage i am at with my crafting.
Sorry i'm not posting a card but i just wanted to do a quick message to tell people in blog land the the very dear ROBERT from Once upon a stamp passed away yesterday. any of you the knew him will know how much he will be missed in the land of craft xx sleep well Robert
Well i made this card the other week and have been waiting to post it as made it for Jo and Mark Channon's silver wedding which was on the 16th may..
I took a 8x8 card and stamped around the edge with a brown ink pad (walnut stain) and i also used it to tone down the background paper which was from a papermainer pack , then again i used it to stamp the owl's then out came the water brush to pull the colour out from the stamped image the owl's are stamped onto a spellbinder die,and to finished off i put a few foe gem's in the corner's x d
Hi ladies sorry not posted for a while but i am full of cold (man flu ha ha if you know what i mean) ,getting a bit sick of it now and the cough anyone would think i smoked 60 a day the only thing is i dont smoke, well better get on and tell you about the card.
I did the card at Jo Channon's the other week,we use a Stampavie stamp's and made 4 card's ,i will post the others at a later date,.
Now for this card we used a 8x8 card cut in half and folded it to make a tent shape, the purple paper on it was done by just traceing around the card but cutting it inside the pencil line ,this then gives you a small boarder, the image is stamped onto yep you got it a good old spellbinder ( what would we do without them) and coloured in with a mixture of promarkers and copic pens, the flourish around the side is a new Marianne die (just love them dont you) and a little punched out flower with a gem in the center, around the bottom right corner are some more little gems (think you can just see them).Well thats it for today girls, oh i have given the card to my neice as it is her birthday today xx
Hello to fellow blogers this card was made from A CHILD'S YEAR cart. I love this cart because it cover's all age's.
This card is a 6x6 with a white base for the main card, then a silver mirri card which has a bark texture on it.
The two scalloped layer's i cut from BASE CAMP cart, the white one is cut at 5.1/4'' and the lilac one which has a small pattern on was cut at 4.3/4'' as you can see i have just off set them from each other, then the little girl was cut at 4'', to finish off i used a few craftwork card's candie dot's.I must just add the images in this cart look wondreful when they are cut in dark colour's such as a white base and then black on the top or even brown and cream xD
Well i have had a play today with my cricut machine. It's my cousin's little girl's birthday on monday so i have made this instead of a birthday of a card. I used a cream card for the base and two different patten's both in pnk for the top layer. I cut them from schoolbook cart. Around the edge's i have used a bit of distress ink to lift the image. To finished off i cut out some butterfly's,,swirl's and a fairey which had made up..Sorry picture is'nt great found it hard to take ..
I have been playing around with die's as you can see. The frame is a cheery lynn heart frame, the wispy bit's are memory box which i have cutt into bit so they tuck under the edge of the heart frame. Noe the corner's and the mat which say's Happy Birthday all are spellbinder's.I must say a big thank you to a friend of mine for the loan of the Cheery Lynn and the Memory box die's.
Hope you are all having a good easter break and doing something nice .
We have been to Coventry for two night's but it should have been three but we came home early as we did'nt like it aslo i could not find a craft shop (boo hoo) , so home we came so now i am going to play for a few hour's in my shed--cabin--hut--hide away xx
I saw this card on the tv a few weeks ago when sue wilson did one of her create and craft show's, if you go on her blog you will see what i have done different.
Sue placed her three die shape's across the middle of her card, where you can see i have twisted mine a bit, i cut the die shape's in cream and coloured the with distress in scattered straw i think, all of the die's are spellbinder's xx
Well i got a cheep gift bag and dress it up to make this easter gift bag , because i could'nt find one in the shop's.
I did it useing my cricut machine cutting then hen's from animal kingdom and the grass and flower boarder was from walk in my garden and the happy easter came from nursey rhymes cartridge,i have put 3d gel under the wing's to lift them and also under the tail feather's..
Hope everyone is enjoying this bit of sunshine we have at the moment xx
Well what a busy day i have had first thing this morning the washing was out on line then out came my sewing machine's yes machine's i have two (one standed machine and an overlocking machine),zip in trouser's, mended hubby's jean's,shortend sleeve's in a t-shirt and alted a dress skirt phew what a morning..
Afternoon came and up to my shed (cabin,,hut,,hideaway) i went, today i was useing up bit's and bob's of thing left behind from doing other card's.The little fellow on this card was hideing in a box so it was time for him to come out and play,i have put him on a 6x6 card ,i have stamped the card with some little stamp's i got from home bargin's in the pack was a treasure chest, skull, ship and i small black ink pad all for £1,99.The anchor i wrapped some thread around and attatched it to a brad, all done now ready for bed and another full day to come tomorrow xx D
Hello eveyone well what a lovley day we have had, it was very nice day sat in my shed with the sun shinning in while i sat crafting away listening to my music ahhh so peaceful sheer bliss.
Now to today's card, the shape is a marianne die .I inked the edge but it is hard to see on the photo, the pale blue background i embossed with a small flower embossing folder, the swirls Tilda is sat on is yet another marianne die, around the edge i have laced some ribbon (white/pale blue),the stopper for the easel card is one i got in a pack from ummm dont know where. x
Today i think we need a little bit of sunshine. I saw this card on someone's blog but dont know who's it was, but i hope you dont mind me copying it if you are a follower of mine.I did it on a 6x6 card a nd the image is cut from CHILD'S YEAR ,first cut with white on shadow then the top layer was cut in black, the back ground was three bit of paper stock,i ran two of then through the big shot (one has dot's on and the other has line's on) you cut the paper to make it look like sunray's
I had a little play day yesterday with a lily of the valley stamp, i stamped it with a very old ink pad infact i think it must have been one i have had year's it was so dry,but i like the result i got from it,the shape is a spellbinder, first i stamped it on white them cut it then i drew around it to give me a small gold edge, then i used a distress ink in broken china to dust over it,The main card i stampes around the edge's with a putty colour ink on it i placed a very pale blue card and on that i used my mind's eye paper pack, now to finish off with a few gold swirl's and flower's made from my marianna die. x
The other week i went to lincoln to cricut craft group, which is run by a friend Fiona (she told and shown me everything i know about cricut and the design studio) we meet up once a month in washingborough, so if you are local or dont mind traveling come join us we are a very friendly bunch and you would be made very welcome,we pay a small fee for the rent of the room.
Now for the card it's an 8x8 and thr robot is cut from the robotz cartridge, first cut in black on shadow, the in green for the main bot body then you have to cut it twice each time in a different colour to give him his own image.Behind him i have put a frame this was cut from ummm ? i think that was elegant edges cart ,the textured card with the circles on was a bit of gold that i ran through the cuttlebug and finaly the background paper is my minds eye paper pack the i really love ,well thats it for now back soon hope you like him xx
Well just a quick card to post today,,I have made it for a friend who will be 83 on the 17th march,i have used a topper and placed it on a spellbinder leaving her feet outside the circle then cut a larger fancy edged to finished it off,,the backing paper is from a papermainer pack which you can buy pack's/book's which are all shade's of one colour but have different patten's in, in the corners i have used clear glass bead's x
Yes i'm back again you are not seeing thing's,,this is a kanban stamp and coloured in with promarkers, the frill on the top and bottom was punched with a martha punch and butterfly and leaf are both marianna die's
Another crafting day at Jo Channon's, this time we used mainly stamp's by Indgo Moon and applied flitter glue (funny word is'nt it) , you put the glue on the stamp just like spreading butter on bread , stamp but dont press hard onto your card as you will end up with your work stuck to the stamp, then it is time to use the guilding flake's,and oh what fun that is (rembember dont sneeze/cough or laugh to much when u you use them as they will fly everywhere belive me) . I had not used them before so it was fun to try them.
I went to a craft class at jo channons last week and made 4 card's i am posting these 2 as i enjoyed doing them very much...
This one was stamped onto rainbow card so very little colouring was needed even the back ground was rainbow card so but turning the card around you could get the shading,,now dont ask me who's stamp it is because i have forgot (silly me)
This card i really love i even think i did a good job colouring it in with the help pf my promarker's ,the stamp is a little claires and the good thing it that everything is on one stamp, so no masking and stamp lineing up..This card is going to my bother-in-law who is going to be 65 next week.Hope he will like it.
Here we go then girl's this is my craft shed /den / cabin / villa and my bit of heaven..
My hubby got it for me last october and as you will see he has made a fab job
And a bit nearer
This view is from just outside the door
Now we are just inside,as you can see all the way done the left side i have lots of storage, on the edge the wooden draw's are full of all kind's of rubber stamp's.then in the cube's i have my paper and card stored and yes it is also on the top of the unit .
Then along the 8ft side which has 1 window i again have yet more storage for my cricut thing's but that is under my worktop.
Oh no even more storage along the 10ft side which has three window's, on the bottom right of the photo you can see the worktop turn's again and under it i have a draw unit with all my punches in.
Well i hope you have all enjoyed your trip around my bit of heaven xx
Yes three time's in a week,,
This time i'm back with yet another little claire's topper, the black swirl's are a cheery lynn die (dont you just love them to bit's ) and along the bottom i have gathered up some ribbon,i have'nt put a greeting on it yet as i alway's leave them until i know who the card is going to xx
Shock horror i'm back this time i have been using a topper from little claires along with spellbindes for layering up the image come precoloured as most of you will know,,the swirl's are some that i must have cut out when visiting a craft friend,,,flowers well i have a box full and drrrr from ?????your guess is as good as mine,,,,now lets see how long it is before i come back this time xx
